Book Orders

There are two ways you can manage book sales to support my school visit. Each method has advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages are minor – especially if your school has parent volunteers who are willing to pitch in.

1. Hands-Off:  I do all the heavy lifting. You distribute book order forms to the students, then mail all checks and order forms to me. I deliver the signed books to you on the day of my visit. Advantage: This is the simplest, easiest way to provide books to your students. Disadvantage: Your school doesn’t earn any money from the sale. Not recommended if I am traveling by air to your school.
2. Partnering: Team-up with a local book store. You distribute order forms to the students and phone the order to the book store. The store handles the rest. Advantage: It’s easy, and most stores will give the school a percentage of the profit. Disadvantage: Someone from your school needs to pick up the books and deliver them to the school.
